Pure Beanz Coffee Website
The Pure Beanz site is a fully functional site that is created with XHTML and CSS, with a fully functional store that links to PayPal's payment method.
The site was initially created from the ground up, with the site map that highlights all elements and pages that will appear in the site. After the site map was created a mock up was created in Photoshop to establish the look and feel of the page. The site map and the mockup was approved by the "client" before the real work of coding in the site began.
The monochrome colour used for the site is based on the different shades of coffee and coffee foam. The pictures used for the banner gives the site a appealing and elegant feeling to the site. As Pure Beanz Coffee is a high end coffee company, all parts of the site is to be simple elegant and informative.
The coding used in the entire site is pure HTML and CSS used to structure the site, this also includes the navigation and the drop down menu. Javascript effects that were used is the Spry effects on the page. An XML document is also used for the coffee information.
The importance of the site is to make the interface easy for any users to use and so that the user will not get lost in the site. The site is structured so that it is imformative and appeal to the user. The online store of the site is one of the focus of the site, so all category is clearly defined. Each item has its own page which will provide users with the information about specific products with the option to purchase. The site is connected to PayPal for the user to actually purchase an item.
